Confirmed: Spike TV to launch April 15th (UPDATED)

Viacom has confirmed that Spike TV will launch on TalkTalk, Freesat, Sky and Freeview on April 15th.

Freeviews on Virgin Media in April

Virgin Media Sources has confirmed that Liverpool FC TV will be free on the 15th to 16th April on Virgin Channel 544.

Also Nollywood Movies will be free from April 2nd until April 7th on Virgin Channel 835.

Sky Movies need an Superhero, Plus World Cup ends day early

From Monday (March 30th) to until April 26th Sky Movies Greats will be known as Sky Movies Superheroes on Virgin Channel 404 also in HD on Channel 434.

Also from Monday (March 30th) Sky Sports World Cup will be rebrand back to Sky Sports 2.

New update from Media Boy HQ on new channels testing on Virgin Media

Media Boy HQ has today seen an update on the channels that Virgin Media are testing - but as Monday we cant reveal what we have seen yet.

Bizasia: Zee to close Lamhe next month, New Channel "&TV" to use slot

Bizaisa is reporting that ZEE Network will be launching its new entertainment channel, &TV in the UK next month.

&TV will replace Lamhe on Virgin Channel 811.

&TV launches on Monday 6th April at 7pm.

Local TV on MB Blog: STV given local TV licences for Aberdeen, Ayr and Dundee

Ofcom has today given STV local TV licences for Aberdeen, Ayr and Dundee.

Here is the working of the new STV local Channels:

  • Aberdeen: Around Aberdeen
  • Ayr: Ayrshire Today
  • Dundee: View from the Bridges

Sky viewers on Digital Spy Forum is reporting that Sky prices are set to up on June 1st 2015 on Sky.

Local TV on MB Blog: That’s TV buys controlling stake in YourTV

That’s TV, a Portsmouth-based local TV operator, has taken a controlling stake in the local TV licences for Manchester and Blackpool & Preston.

The move will see YourTV Manchester and YourTV Blackpool & Preston rebranded as That’s Manchester and That’s Lancashire.

Virgin Media has signed an new broadcasting deal with FOX International Channels (FIC).

EXCLUSIVE: New Channel to launch for one day only

Virgin Sources has confirmed that on Saturday the Bradford v Reading FA Cup match will be free to view for non BT Sports customers on Channel 555.

Its will be called BT Sport 1 Free and will only show this event.
