BT to launch more BT Sport Extra channels via Red Button

Ofcom has given out new licensed this month for BT to launch more Red Button Channels.
 
  • BT Sport Extra 2 (HD)
  • BT Sport Extra 3 (HD)
  • BT Sport Extra 4 (HD)
  • BT Sport Extra 5 (HD)
  • BT Sport Extra 6 (HD)
  • BT Sport Extra 7 (HD)
 
Also rumours on Digital Spy Forum say that BT Sport 3 and BT Sport 3 HD is also testing on Sky.

UCB UK Radio to close on Sky

Canis Media is selling the EPG slots on Sky for UCB UK TV and UCB UK Radio.

Bidders has until later this month to bid.

No news on if UBC UK Radio will also close on Virgin Media.

Or what will happen to UCB Radio Ireland on both Sky and UPC Ireland.

My Virgin Sources has given Media Boy HQ the following in an update over the past weekend:
 
  • Some V0... channels are still testing but we have no clue what they are.
  • But one of the V0... channel was testing with "AUDIO ENGLISH DD" for the few days.
POST WAS LAUNCH ON APRIL 27TH THEN UPDATED ON MAY 1ST.

Sky to axe Sky Arts 2 channel in June

Sky has confirmed that Sky Arts 2 and Sky Arts 2 HD will close from June 9th on all networks.

As part of a shakeup of the broadcaster’s channels from 9 June that will also see the axing of Sky 3D on Sky Digital.

The two channels will be replaced by a single “super channel” in a bid to boost audiences and reduce repeats.

The new look Sky Arts channel will also move to the higher Sky EPG Channel number.

EXCLUSIVE: Two new channels set to launch in May on Virgin Media.

Virgin Media sources has told Media Boy HQ that Nat Geo Wild HD will not be launching on April 30th.

We have seen information on the launch date of May 12th.

We can also reveal that Birmingham local channel - Big Centre TV - will also launch when Nat Geo Wild HD launches.

Sky Movies has rebrand Sky Movies Superheroes back to Sky Movies Greats.

Rumours on Cable Forum say that Sky Movies may launch an "Sky Movies Star Wars" channel on May 4th.

Rumour: Sky to axe 3D Channel in June?

Freeview News: VIVA to stay on Freeview

Media Boy HQ can confirmed that VIVA will still be on Freeview after April 15th as VIVA from April 15th will broadcast everyday from 9am to 11am. No confirmed new channel number yet but we think VIVA will move to Freeview Channel 74 from Wednesday.

My Virgin Sources seen your post yesterday and has confirmed the following to Media Boy HQ:
 
  • All V0... channels testing provided no now and next info, no subtitles, no audio nothing so we have no clue what they are.
  • ARABIC HAFLA looks like some sort of app as info provided with channel it says only Arabic Hafla in that's now and what's next - something like WorldBox.
  • -NAT GEO WILD HD has full details of subtitles and what's now and what's next.
 
Media Boy HQ thinks ARABIC HAFLA will launch soon on Virgin Channel 836. Also NAT GEO WILD HD will soon launch on Virgin Channel 229.

Picturebox close on Virgin Media

Virgin Media deal with Picturebox has ended and PictureBox has now close on Virgin on Demand.

Media Boy HQ first reveal that PictureBox is set to close way back on February 23rd.
